Berry Pomeroy

Sunday 27th March is the next Service ringing at Berry Pomeroy. 10.30 for the 11.15 service. Look forward to seeing you there. A couple of things to bear in mind. The clocks go forward on Sunday morning and it is Mothering Sunday. We know that the parishioners will be delighted to have their bells rung on this special day. At the same time it is likely that places such as Occombe Farm may be extra busy.

Branch Saturday practice Ugborough - Saturday 2nd April 2.30 until 3.30pm

This visit has long been in the planning as we hoped to ring there just after the first lockdown prevented it. We are now looking forward to going there this year. Anyone who rang there in the past will know that Ugborough bells were famous for being out of tune and difficult to ring. All this changed in 2018 when a completely new ring was cast with a tenor of just short of 1 ton. Reports are very favourable so we really look forward to trying them out.
